Back in the summer I had the privilege of attending a jewellery workshop run by Tatty Devine. The workshop was held in the Brick Lane store, here in London – one I know very well. It’s one of my favourite haunts, I love heading to Brick Lane for shopping, it’s like Mecca for us vintage store worshippers!
Now I’m a novice when it comes to jewellery making, it was great fun sitting down to a table with 5 other ladies. Well it was until I found out they were all experienced jewellery makers and a real dab hand at their craft. I was a little daunted, but thankfully one of the lovelies who works for Tatty Devine was on hand to help me. I found it very fiddly and instantly regretted failing to take my glasses with me. Doh! rookie mistake!!
I persevered and managed to make my very own rainbow necklace – insert proud face here. The Tatty Devine workshops are great fun and I was given great one on one guidance.
If you are stuck for gift ideas, I think it would be ideal for birthday or Christmas presents, or make a group booking for a hen or birthday party. I would recommend this to any Tatty D jewellery fans or anyone who is into original, quirky jewels!
